Government starts the political year defending Centrelink changes

The Federal Government has begun the political year defending its efforts to recover Centrelink overpayments. 

Labor says MPs are getting a flood of complaints from constituents, who say they've been unfairly sent letters of demand from the welfare agency. 

But the Government says the number of complaints is miniscule, and the new system is recouping millions of dollars from people who were given welfare payments they weren't entitled to.
