Really stressed about it, but Centrelink wont listen. This is the second time within twelve months.
The first time they said I had a debt of $2700 and guess what I didn't have a debt at all, then twelve months later another so called debt, this time originally $267.00, but they reduced the debt after I advised them that they were reading their information incorrectly.
They said that I had not declared my income when in fact it was right there in the spreadsheet that they printed off after me asking them on more than five occasions before they provided it to me.
They cant even read their own information.
They still say that I have a debt, but it's a case of them not being able to read the information in front of them, which quite clearly shows that I have been reporting my information correctly.
They wont even return phone calls to discuss or try and sort the matter out. Won't admit that they have made another error.
When I advised that it was putting me under a lot of undue stress trying to provide my innocence, was simply told "well call Lifeline".
This is not acceptable, and I wont give up until I get a satisfactory answer and suggest everyone in a similar situation to stick to their guns, and don't give up until you have a satisfactory outcome.
They don't care, my latest situation has been going on since 1st March but they simply don't care, and these are so called "professional" people who are looking at my case, but can't even read the information provided by me to them correctly.
Unacceptable, they simply don't care.
This includes their General Manager's (Hank J) office and his staff. They have no idea how to do their job.
