I am in my final year of study which means I have to complete 20 weeks of placement without pay, and generally away from home meaning I can’t work my other job either.
This debt review began at the beginning of the year during my first placement, and they have started taking money out of my payments even though I am attempting to appeal the debt.
This means I am out of work for 20 weeks of the year AND my payments have been cut.
I have had quite bad anxiety for the last 5 years and it is currently the worst it has ever been.
I am having to pay for double rent whilst I am away for uni and I am barely receiving enough money for this.
The stress is made worse by being unable to contact anyone at centrelink about it and I feel like my questions are going unanswered.
I have been unable to reach anyone who can assist me with this debt.
The person ‘in charge’ of my debt is extremely rude every time I phone her and cannot provide me with any clear information about this debt.
The process has been ongoing for 9 months now and I have still not received any clear documentation proving this debt exists.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with anyone about this and my next step is going to have to be legal advice.
I have attempted to lodge an appeal with the person ‘in charge’ and supposedly my debt increased, however I have still not seen any paperwork to prove this.
