I first received a letter over a year ago stating I owed closer to $10,000 which sent me into a state of extreme anxiety even though I know it was preposterous!
I was asked to give individual weekly payslips from multiple past employments which I had to contact myself which gave me further anxiety.
I also spoke to someone and requested an appeal.
I sent all my payslips bar one job for that period which had told me they no longer hold that information so I forwarded that email onto centrelink as well stating that they could not provide payslips for me as they didnt have them.
Appeal response I was told would come through not this April but last and I havent heard a word not a peep from them until last week when I received this newest letter stating that I no longer owe them $7762 but only $5077 (the original debt was $9000 and something in the first letter)
I am yet to call and request a review, will do so tomorrow.
I had just started thinking they were leaving me alone because they realised they were grossly mistaken and now I have all the anxiety for something I know I dont owe all over again and the anxiety of having to call and be on hold for however long to speak to someone that may or may not be helpful at all.
Having anxiety makes it all the more worse and I know I need to fight back but it's incredibly draining for me.
I just want them out of my life and I wish when I was on centrelink all those years ago they would of told me one day they would need to see each and every individual payslip for years I would of just submitted it each time i reported to save any and all of the complete run around they made me do last year and the potential run around I will have to do now.
Disgusted! Beyond disgusted!
