Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

ATO data matching robodebt due to alleged under-declared income.

Investigating officer decided to enter the income as being for a 12 month period despite the income being for a three year period.
This incorrectly concentrated the three years income into a 12 month period and resulted in an exaggerated debt.

I objected to the dates but they wouldn't change it because they need inflated numbers to justify what they are doing.
It's been three or four months since the appeal but no appeal decision has been made.

It's guilty until proven innocent.
Don't give up, especially if they are bending the rules.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

I am shocked that there are public employees carrying out unlawful practices without regards to ethics let alone the truth in order to satisfy an agenda of welfare minimisation.

I have lost faith in the integrity of the Australian public service.
