At the heart of what they are saying is that I'm a liar, a thief and a cheat. With another review under way, I'm feel like I'm just delaying another argument with them because regardless of what proof I can show them all they have to say is their computer says different.
I can understand every anxiety everyone here is talking about. It absolutely occupies you, you literally can't stop thinking about it. When you've always struggled but always felt you've been 100% honest this really hurts. Then when someone close to you says 'well maybe you forgot' it's twice as wrenching because essentially now they too are thinking of you as a liar, a thief and a cheat.
Being honest is all some people have and this is calling them otherwise. It's soul crushing.
It's criminal.
Finding your outcome on myGov is for experienced web users and I guess if you don't find it in time your non-compliance amounts to agreement. The same with the options presented to you, it appears clicking either of them means agreeing to the debt. I didn't click either but went into a Centrelink office, which felt useless. I was given a 1800 number written on a post-it note because there seemed to be zero printed literature on this whole process. It's like they're trying to hide the ability to object or request more information.
A recovery fee feels like the government acting like Telstra, how this is possible I don't know. They've patted themselves on the back for what a wonderful computer program this is yet charge a recovery fee as if they've started paying new employees.
This feels like the lowest thing I've ever seen any Australian Government do and the arrogance in the way they are doing is totally cold hearted. They're applying this hard-nosed turning back the boats attitude towards their own people and they're crowing about it.
This feels like a kangaroo court where they've changed the way their system works and are convicting everyone without a trial of a new crime they've invented.
