Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

I was receiving parenting payment at the start of 2016, by the start of 2017 i started working a different shift which meant i could work more and stopped recieving parenting payments.
I completely support welfare and offering folk assistance when they need it, i was assessed as needing it and received the small amount i was entitled to at the time. When i no longer was eligable, i stopped claiming.

This is an entitlement, not a loan.

This has put unnecessary financial strain on myself, increasing my levels of stress and it's preventing me from contributing to the economy. This money could go towards a homeloan, a holiday, books for my daughter. Instead it is going back into the LNP's pocket and straight into their helicopter fund.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

It is very difficult as a single mother to balance work and family life, having to take days off to look after. It seems an unneccesary financial strain put on myself when i was claiming for a benefit i needed at the time.

The Liberal Government is manipulating the welfare system to faciliticate what they perceive as economic growth. To think I didn't earn my welfare is not only false, but is moot.

Welfare exists to support people, it's not a privilege, it's a human right to have access to safe housing, education, healthcare and food. Privilege is flying to Geelong in a helicopter, waiving immigration laws so your friend's au pair can get in the country and reducing a person's tax bill to 0 so you can get reelected.
