This is the third figure they have come up with and it is still not right. I gave them a daily breakdown of the hours I worked for the 2 month period in question, as my payslips were monthly. These reconciled completely with my payslips, centrelink payments and tax except for 6 hours of annual leave that I was paid over the Christmas period that I did not declare as I had to report before I got my pay and did not expect to get this. So my debt is 6 x 22 = $132 which I freely admit that I owe and will be happy to pay immediately except that I will not pay a recovery fee hidden in an invoice and I will not pay any extra amount just because they are incapable of understanding the 6 pages of evidence I have provided. They do not seem to be able to cope with businesses that have monthly payslips and shutdowns over christmas.
I have already spent approximately 8 hours working on this and would like to know where I send my invoice for the 8 hours work that I have done for centrelink.
The way I feel about this government is that they do not deserve the tile of honorable. There is nothing honorable about aggressively going after people on pensions when they let their mates pay zero tax and abuse the parliamentary entitlement system. They are just pigs with snouts in the trough.
