I called Centrelink to and got transferred 4 times with no assistance or compassion.
Had to explain my story 4 times and by this point I was very distressed and angry.

I know for a fact that I do not owe centrelink money and when asked how they came up with that I owed this money and got told the computer is estimating that you owe this between a 6 month period. So they pretty much admitted to the computer guessing peoples debts.

I requested all documentation that they had ever sent me as they had wiped my documents from my files prior 2018 and couldn't see any payment that were made or credits that were applied to my account. They end up sending me 1 shitty piece of paper with the money I am owing and none of my other information I requested.

They took my whole tax rebate of $3800 towards this debt that I am contesting and when asked to get it back they refused.

I am now at the point of having to take time off work to deal with this issue which is not only causing stress and financial hardship. I hope Centrelink cleans their act up and wiping all the robodebts as they have seriously got it wrong this time.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?: 

Centrelink Staff are rude and will not transfer you to a manager when asked. They have no compassion or understanding and will do anything to take money off you even when you are disputing it. I think the system is wrong and they should not be allowed to take anyones TAX or Payments when disputing money owed.

They also need to remove the robo debt and have real humans with real compassion and not have only legislation robot humans.
