As I had broke my leg a few weeks prior and had time of work being a casual working full time hours I was shocked considering only a few months earlier I tought and won a mat leave debt as I tried 3 times prior to return to work to tel them and the over paid me.. it would have put me in financial hardship to pay the debt then.. it put so much stress on my just before Xmas that my poor children suffered not being about to by stuff due to not working but also the fact that it was 4 days before Christmas!!!
Absolutely appalling they expect me to pay a debt that they calulated wrong and they can't even get their dates right the letter claims from the 18th July 13 till the 18 December 14 i was over paid including a 10% "debt recovery fee" I was working up until July 31 2013 and recived my first payment 16aug 2013 so for 2 weeks I wasn't even in on any payments then I found a job in feb 2014 and after that took 3 months off work to have baby but wasn't entitled to mat leave so when I returned to work full time was cut off after 6 weeks reporting above the income.. after explaining this to numerous people and submitting documents to them for proof I have to still pay them back the almost $7000 by next Thursday even though I received the letter 4 days before Xmas and they were shut between Xmas and new year losing prescious time to fight this.. This is ridiculous and unfair!
