I live in Gordon. I work as an artist and have received a debt notice last year for $5000.00 dating back to 2011-2012. I cannot contest the debt as I have no way to access payslips from this time. I know I was not overpaid. I was suicidal at the time because I was struggling financially and it has taken me many years of working dangerous and horrible jobs to now be in a stable job in an industry I love. I am being forced to repay $220 a month which this month has left me short for repaying actual debts I owe. I currently have $45 in my account to last me another week
We are not thieves. Yet you treat us like we are. The LNP regularly abuses it's entitlements and yet none of you have been tried in a court for fraud. history has a habit of repeating itself. If you don't know what I mean perhaps look into the events that lead to the French Revolution. We are currently experiencing a lot of similarities and there is a groundswell of people living in poverty who have been stretched emotionally and financially.
