The debt that arrived just prior to Christmas was very upsetting, I instantly felt anxious & had trouble sleeping as I worried about it.
I knew I had always been honest when reporting my income, but I felt I was accused of being guilty, even before I had a chance to prove my innocence
How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:
I think the government have handled this extremely badly, they have targeted the most vulnerable people in the community , the people who are on a low income , people who are in need of support. I realise there are some dishonest Centrelink recipients, but I believe that in this case, Centrelink have thrown out a net & caught everyone , honest & dishonest. Shame on you Centrelink,
