I actually don't know how I got the debt or when I got the debt. I logged on to mygov.com.au to check my payments and requirements and there it was.I ran away with my 2 young daughters in 2012, from a monster of 23 years.
A social worker from Centrelink helped me with payments and referrals. I moved multiple times for safety supported by government agencies(WAYYS).Eventually fleeing the state in October 2013 to Queensland.
11 July 2014 I was injured at work(last day I worked).Had an operation on my neck in 2015, unsuccessful. Un operable cervical spondylosis
My injury offset a pre existing injury I was unaware of, injury assumed to be consistent with multiple blows to the head over a period of time.
Due to the pain, I was prescribed medication (Durogesic patch, tramadol 200m), that made me incoherent and I can't remember much of the first year. Im blank, with an accumulated addiction to prescribed drugs.
My 16 year old daughter left school to look after me and continues to oversee everything I need to do.
My daughter made sure I attended every Centrelink appointment, and submitted every document required. We acted on Centrelinks directions.
I eventually moved back to Melbourne in 2015 as my daughter had already moved back, and I was unable to look after myself and evicted.
My daughters and I were homeless. My ex found us, ended up in court, got an intervention order for 5 years.
We exhausted all avenues of hospitality, of accommodation, eventually housed by community housing 2018
I have multiple and complex health issues including PTSD
I do not agree with Centrelink I gave them copies of my statements, it not my fault they calculated it wrong.
Contacting CENTRELINK is a joke it takes half the day to get through on the phone, and they all advise different information on the same situation. Or you have to wait for the phone call.
