I was on Austudy for 4 to 5 months, worked casually. Each fortnight declared wages and Austudy adjusted. I had p/time work either sides of those dates. I printed out bank statements for this period, checked that all info Iprovided was correct, What the government computer generating system is doing is taking money you earnt for the year and averaging it out over 52 weeks, so those months on Austudy now look like I have earnt extra income.

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:
The law states innocent until proven guilty... Yet while I'm appealing debt, I still have to pay fortnightly as id I'm already guilty.. This is a huge scam...Unfortunatley we wont win
