This started with family payment.
Went to visit centrelink in person and was told I had to phone a number which I tried numerous times and couldnt get through.
Next was my austudy payments which was evidently affected, followed by school kids bonus, and finally my child support.
The debt is overwhelming and so incorrect. cant speak to anyone about it and stress level is through the roof.
Havent received any family payments and we are living on bead and butter as Im off work with injury.
Gave up study as couldnt afford it without help.
Expecting handcuffs at my front door any day as I havent 'repaid' the supposed debt and have no hope of ever doing so.
Figure that another two months with no family payments and taking my child support away will put us on the street living - I do worry how I'm going to keep my kids as A grade students and not street kids drop outs.
Often think how much easier it would be if none of us existed - the government wouldnt need to pay up - maybe thats their end objective?
Interesting part is 'based this decision on information provided by Australian Immigration Department' - I'm Australian born, not an immigrant - lived here all my life!
Turnbull wants to balance his books and the low income population are an easy target to achieve this. I doubt anyone in this situation will have a positive outcome.
