Thankfully i didn't even know about it until post-christmas since i was only contacted via email despite centrelink having my posting address and both my landline and mobile numbers. So from the get-go i'm already past my due date to submit any documentation to counter the claim.
At the time, and for years after the false-debt period i was employed casually and using the income to support myself and pay off my TAFE fees. Obviously during break from TAFE i'd work more. Centrelink took my annual income, which falls doesn't even fit the false-debt period, averaged it over 26 fortnights, i.e periods i worked far more hours outside of my reporting period to centrelink, averaged that int o my reporting periods, and thinks this is valid evidence of my under-reporting.
My false debt isn't as much as others but i'm fighting this on principle. i've called 3 times so far. First time was absolutely useless and just accomplished me requesting a manual review. Second call from the manual review was equally as useless and just rehashed what the bullsh*t letter told me, and that my only course of action was to submit my payslips and begin repayment of the debt.
my third call told me my case had already been manually reviewed and they couldn't take any further action, and that i should see the centrelink website for further assistance.
There is no specific place to upload my payslips pertaining to this false debt, which i specifically asked about during my manual review call.
It's obvious centrelink are doing their best to provide no way out for anybody falsely accused. I Have not been provided any further course of action and am expected to just accept this admittedly false debt.

- If employment is for a part of a year only, averaging over 12 months will not result in a correct result if the customer should have received a full rate at other times of the year
- If income varied greatly during the year, the result may be incorrect
I was legally obligated to correctly report my income at the time of this false debt, and that is exactly what I did. There is no reason that this case should exist other than centrelink fabricated false evidence to accuse me of under reporting and has decided im guilty without providing any evidence to prove it.
if this was a private company they would be had for extortion.
meanwhile the moron Alan Tudge goes around saying the system is working as intended. If this was intended you're admitting to scamming people like me; to knowingly trying to pressure the innocent into making false repayments on non-existent debt.
