I deferred my university course for just 6 weeks in September. I had developed anxiety and carers stress while caring for a sick relative.
Centrelink requested proof of my enrolment at university, which I provided through a formal evidence of enrolment letter for the period concerned, alongside an academic transcript outlining my 2019 enrolment.
I also provided a Centrelink medical certificate covering the period.
I received a phone call telling me that it had been accepted. It was all done.
Tonight I log in and see that not only have my payments been suspended for supposedly having been "unenrolled" since September, but I owe $2,300.00.
This is utterly insane.
It was a headache providing all those documents at the time, and I had spoken to several humans on the phone confirming it was all assessed and approved.
I will be calling them first thing in the morning but I can't even sleep tonight.
It's as though a human assessed my documents and then didn't put it into their computer system.
Nonsensical and incredibly stressful.
