Caused both financial and study hardship. JSP informed me to study 40 hours per week and work 40 hours per week. After 5 months of appearing highly stressed due to workload, they inform me to apply for a youth allowance for study payments instead of youth allowance as a job seeker (just lost my job and was trying to maintain a double full time schedule). Subsequently fined 4950 after 5 months saying that I owed money, worker was rude and wouldnt let me talk, made me feel like the victim. The Authorized review officer was exactly the same and threatened to "check all my records" but I was clean and he still hit me with the incorrect debt. Taken to SSAT, pending phone appeal, need to speak to a lawyer about the evidence presented. Black boxes over information, Unrelated information about the case in the 76 page "case" against me. Often documents say I never advised whilst the pages before it said I did. They even failed to note when I called advising them that I was no longer enrolling in one study (which I never claimed payments for). Computer generated garbage which those workers took to pin me in a corner. I feel angry now because I cannot do much about it but follow the process. I lost one SSAT appeal for 1500 where the employer failed to note an end of study due to a call on her personal phone. A number she should not have given me, therefore I was fined 1500 for that totalling $6,450. I see on the news others fined 1500 and I think, are you kidding? Mine is at least 3x worse then that and I lost one because I took an affirmation. I am still currently fighting one whilst I will gain legal advice on both.
In a very irresponsible, immature and criminal manner. Someone is responsible for the flaws in the system and the rude workers higher and immediate action needs to be taken.
