Tell us about your debt and how has this affected you? e.g. anxiety levels, financial and accommodation stress:

I received 5 letters of different debts all adding up to $20000 have been fighting it for 4 years now without success only found out this year AFTER not during a 3 month review that I had to go to my bank and print out copys of my bank records from the years I owe debt and bring them in thats a fuckload of paperwork that im hoping the bank still has records of. its been so stressful and really upsetting have thought about giving up on life every time I've got denied but then I just wait till I have the strength and I'm feeling better with my mental health to fight again I'm hoping this time it will get resolved but that's only one debt off $16000 I then have to go do it for the other 5 debts after and there is no way I owe them that money

How do you feel about the way the Government has handled this process?:

I feel letdown by the government the centre link system knew I had just been diagnosed with ptsd and they sent out 5 letters of debt I've seen countless staff and talked to so many phone operators I think the automated debt system is wrong why are they trusting a computer system we all know they have so many glitches I hope that centrelink enjoys going through my 4 years of paper bank statements and finally resolve this matter if not next step I will be taking them to court
